Plinio and Franco Tamponi are today the heirs of an important history, which started in 1925, when the dad Tito setted up the first "wine company of sparkling wine" in Sardinia, using the method "champenois, the classic method.
in that year, in fact, Tito, just gratuated at the "University of Agriculture" in Bologna, started to be concerned with wines, locating the activities in the basements of school blocks (then cork's Industrl goodwill school) in Calangianus.
In the first years, he started producing the sparkling winr with grapes of the homonimous vine, produced in Tempio Pausania's area, obtaining an esteemed, gentle and fragrant wine.
nevertheless, the wine,albeit valliable, come up against commercial troubles and, also, the vine-growers were loath to implant the muscat, beacouse stingy of production and subject to all the diseases.
so in that period, find a great amount of muscat was impossible. therefore he decided to dedicate himeself to the muscat's production, using for raw material "common whitw grape" and gasifing it with industrial carbon dioxide. the results were discouraging so he decide to give up this production too.
in 1929 the production of a new sparkling wine started, usign a blend of three excellent vines: the "Tokai"; the "Vermentino" and the "Ritagliao", applying the classic method.
